Southborough Gardeners

Our organization was established in l972 to educate and promote active interest in gardening, horticulture, floral design, conservation, and beautification of home and civic landscapes. Members bring a floral arrangement to the library weekly through the fall, winter and spring. Recent club projects include a new garden at the Southborough Library and planting of trees at the Triangle. We are presently working on beautification of our Senior Center grounds.
Meetings are held on the second Thursday of the month at 9:00 a.m.
Meetings are held at members’ homes and include a business meeting and program for education of members and guests. In addition, events are held to benefit Southborough residents throughout the year. Examples are:
September, December and June - Flowers for Friends
October - Heritage Day Booth
November - Guest Day, featuring a noted speaker on decorating for the winter months
- Wreath Hanging on the downtown green and on businesses throughout town
December - Greens Workshop
May - Plant sale offering perennial plants from member's gardens and local nursery stock
June - Scholarship presentation
