Founded in 1965, the Laurelwood Garden Club strives to beautify the city of Fitchburg and its surrounding areas. Among its activities are civic beautification projects, partnering with the Fitchburg Art Museum in the annual presentation of Art in Bloom, workshops on creating seasonal floral arrangements, gardening presentations by local experts, and field trips to regional botanic gardens and flower shows. The Club meets on the second Friday of each month, from September to June, 9:30 a.m. to 12 noon at the Fitchburg Art Museum. All residents of North Central Massachusetts are welcome to attend. The Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and a member of the National Garden Clubs and the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts.
